Tile Trim / Angle

What is tile trim?

Tile trim (tile profile/angle) is a finishing material used to cover and secure the exposed edges of tiles. It creates a neat, clean line where the tiled surface ends or meets another surface.

It comes in a variety of materials mainly aluminum or plastic. And come's in either L shape, bullnose (rounded) or box shaped. Tile trim also come in a variety of finishes such as chrome, black, white etc. I will even be able to help you match to your exact tap fitting etc for a really cohesive look.

What is Tile Trim for? And do I need it?

Tile trim serves both a functional and an aesthetic purpose. You may require tile trim, if any floor tiling is being installed in a wet area. See AS 3740 for internal wet areas (bathrooms, laundries) for more information about waterproofing standards in Australia. Other ways to finish tiling is to leave a clean exposed edge, to either be painted out or grouted neatly for a finished look.
